Superdrug are having 3 for 2 on all cosmetics at the moment (similar to what boots did a month or so back) so it was the perfect opportunity to pick up some summer-appropriate purchases, but nevertheless still ended up getting a couple of items from Boots as well (and a magazine freebie)
First up: After seeing this shade of blue on many peoples nails and being inspired (and tempted) by the Thakoon for NARS in Koliary, I found this Barry M alternative in "Cyan Blue" which gives the same look at a fraction of the price. I immediately painted this on my nails and it goes on well and creates the desired look I was hoping for, so a "Nails of the day" post on this will be coming up shortly.

The next superdrug purchase was the Collection 2000 (or Collection Cosmetics as they are apparently now known as?) Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. After using the Maybelline line definer for as long as I can remember, the fact it had begun to come out an off-black/ charcoal colour whilst failing to offer the precision it once did made me realise it had finally dried up and it was time to purchase a new felt tip style liner. I've always preferred felt tip style liners for lining the upper lash line due to their quickness, ease and precision- and hopefully this will be no different. It came in several other colours if you fancied being a bit more daring, but for a quick fix, everyday liner I opted for the classic black. It has sleek packaging and a very fine tip, once I've tried it out I will be sure to do a review.

The next purchase was a re-purchase of my all time favourite concealer and from the constant hype surrounding it, the same could probably be said for a lot of other people. Being quite pale, I use use the shade "1: Fair" and this is probably the fifth one of these I've bought, so a permanent fixture of my make up bag for sure.

Now onto Boots: After switching from Bourjois Healthy Mix to Revlon Colorstay foundation because I felt like a change, now that the summer months are coming I have decided to revert back to the BB creams after using up a bottle of Garnier's miracle skin perfecter last year when it was fresh on the market. From having a browse around on the Boots website I noticed that the 17 BB cream had a reasonably good set of reviews (mostly better than its more expensive counterparts) whilst only costing £6.99, for this reason I decided to pick it up, in the hope that it will be more appropriate in the summer months and be better for my face than the heaviness of Colorstay- once again an in-depth review post will be coming up soon.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Boots had £2 off of the Revlon lip butters. Having already owned Sweet Tart, I wanted to try a different, more natural shade which would go with everything and be suitable for everyday use, so I decided to get Peach Parfait (swatches coming soon!).
Finally, I decided to get a magazine to flick through for some summer fashion inspiration and noticed that Marie Claire were giving away these The Body Shop lip and cheek tints with the magazine. You could either get this peachy gold colour or a more red toned one, but i thought this would be more summer suitable (and at £3.70 for this and the magazine, it was a great deal considering these sell for £10 in The Body Shop!)
More detailed posts will be coming up on several of these products so be sure to check back for that!
